Emily puts her all into teaching yoga. She sees each and every class and student as an opportunity to learn and grow with others. She received her 200 hour certification from Corepower Yoga in Boulder, CO in 2006 and has been a full time teacher ever since. That same year she also graduated from Nutrition Therapy Institute of Colorado where she received her certification as a Nutrition Therapist. Emily opened Blossom Yoga in 2008 and is one of the primary teachers and developers for Blossom Yoga Flow Teacher Training started in 2011. Currently, she is enrolled at the Institute for Pyschology of Eating and plans to integrate yoga in working with others in the realm of food and body struggles.

Emily has been honored to participate in many hours of extra trainings, retreats, and workshops that challenge her perspective as well as inspire growth. Some of her favorites include studying Tantra yoga with world class scholars, exploring the Art of Teaching Vinyasa with Seane Corn, and developing skilled assists with Gina Caputo.

Practicing yoga played a key role in her journey to learn how to value and nurture herself. The yoga mat is a sacred space and she hopes every student can experience freedom from self-judgment and criticism while practicing. She strongly believes that lasting change comes only after we recognize and value ourselves. Her passion is to help people connect to the greatness of who they are and also give themselves space to be human. Emily creates a casual environment in every class knowing that sometimes humor and kindness are what gets us through a class (and difficult life situations!).
